The exhibition was organised around Skálholt Church in a cooperative project with the Reykjavík Sculptor´s Society and the District of Skálholt. The works featured in the exhibition had to be prepared with the theme " Adopting Christianity " in mind. Title " The blue ". A cavity three meter deep has been dug in the ground with a ladder into the side. Its opening is covered with turf. The only light inside comes through a whole glass bowl embedded in the turf. It is filled with blue water and creates a dome over the cavity - the only thing visible against the sky above the ground. The blue form above is reflected in the water that rises from the earth. The spectator will sense the ever changing quality of light.
