The performance titled Then the Face of Earth Turned Pale is based on my impression of narratives from the eruption of Laki 1783-84 which caused the Mist Hardship/Móðurharðindin; the most disastrous period in the history of Iceland. The performance involve sheep, which were utilized in the struggle to survive the eruption and the icy cold weather. The blue poisonous mist from the volcanic outburst respected no borders - much like the Covid-19 virus in the year 2020.
