Public works - Murals in Iceland and Paris, France 1978 - 84

In the summer 1978 I was hired for fence work on behalf of the Health Clinic in Hveragerði, Iceland. When the fence work was well under way, the supervise said that it was now time to paint the barn where there were plans to open the first Alcoholic Rehab in Iceland at the end of the summer. Someone had heard that I was abroad studying art in Paris and proposed that I make mural for the barn. First the wall was painted, then the roof, the gable, the seep barn at the side and finished on the front panel. After my job was complete I went to Sogn to photograph the work. There I met one patient who told me that the piece was called " delirium tremens " by the achoholics. As an art student in University Paris 8 I made several murals 1978 - 84.
