Public work - Nordic Wells 1995 - The eyes that light sees 2014

The installation is composed of 154 bottles with colored water in 7 shelf order and is a kind of a visual organ played by the daylight. The work was first made for the exhibition, Nordic Wells, 1995 and rented after that to the Nordic House for one year. When the restaurant Aalto Bistro opened in 2014 I made a new version with the latest design of " Black death " brandy bottles. " In the imaginary " wells " of all the participating artists, indoor and out, manifold viewpoints are reflected: environmental, literary, mythological, religious, art-philosophical and utopian. These views are put forward in such a way that we, the observers/participants, should easily be able to see our own reflections. " Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson art historian.
