Public works - deCODE genetics 1999 - 2016

deCODE genetics is a global leader in analyzing and understanding the human genome. The works from 1999 and 2016 was inaugurated at deCODE first and second headquarters in Reykjavik. " It evokes images of Iceland, the volcanoes, the blue sky, the ocean, the light and the colors. What the artist call the " juice " of lava drips between the floors is in fact a welded lava. The changing light plays on large cylinders of colored alcohol - a kind of a visual instrument. The work of a scientist is in many ways like that of an artist. They are both driven by curiosity and need to have courage to take risks and enter unexpected areas. They must show initiative and at the same time be stubborn and persistent. All works of man refer back to nature. "
