I was invited to be the first artist to make a special illustration for the first issue of Siksi, the Nordic Art Review. " Even though the presentation of the works is always carefully thought out, their conception invariably originates within the subconscious. I record this spontaneous flood of imagery in notebooks or on any paper that´s to hand, which might be called " pictorial diary ", where the thought is transformed into the creative act. Some people write words, others pictures. When I am just mulling things over with nothing particular to occupy me.. the subconscious is much more responsive to the environment at times like this and that´s when most of my drawings are born.
