Oey´s Etalge was a window gallery in the center of Amsterdam run by Oye Tjeng Sit a former pharmacist which became a full time artist when he closed his pharmacy. On the front of the building you could see a transparent plastic sheet with painted drawings. I took a sleeping pill to be as a dead viking during the opening day. This was on Saint Nicholas Day on 6th of December and children that passed by thought the man in the window were Saint Nicholas. During that time the garbage collectors in Amsterdam were on strike as can clearly been seen on the photos. At the same occasion drawings from my Mexico diary were published in De Kunst liefhebber, a small art magazine run by the artist Peter Hermanides which specialized in artist´s drawings.
