A journey in March 2001. First I drove from Reykjavík to Snæfellsnes but on my way I saw suddenly Hótel Búðir burning to ashes. I continued to Barðaströnd which is more or less abandoned area today same as Selárdalur, a farm in Arnarfjörður in southern part of Westfjords. The last farmer that lived there was Samúel Jónsson 1884 - 1969 who build his own art museum and a church when he recieved old age pension. He made copies of distant landmarks buildings and painted work of art.
